Privacy Policy
Pocket Digicam for iPhone · Effective date: September 28, 2026
Pocket Digicam is a camera app for iPhone published on the App Store by FightTech VN (bundle ID app.filmode.digicam). In short: your photos are developed on your iPhone and never uploaded, and the app collects no data at all. It has no account, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDK, no ads and no tracking. The only time it goes online is when the App Store handles a purchase. On the App Store its privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
This page covers the iPhone app. The Android app, which works differently, has its own Privacy Policy.
What the app does
Pocket Digicam imitates a small point-and-shoot camera from around the year 2000. You pick one of eight invented camera bodies and press the shutter; the app takes the frame from your iPhone's camera, gives it that camera's colour, file size, JPEG compression, flash and date stamp, and keeps the result as a new photo. It can also develop a photo you import, or one of the eight sample photos that come with the app. All of this processing happens on your iPhone.
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Camera | To show the live preview on the camera's LCD and take pictures. Frames are processed in memory and only the picture you take is kept. |
| Photos (add only) | To add a photo to your library when you tap Save. This is iOS's add-only access: the app cannot see, read or change anything already in your library. |
Not requested: location, microphone, contacts, calendars, Bluetooth, local network, tracking (the App Tracking Transparency prompt never appears) or full access to your photo library. Import uses Apple's photo picker, which runs outside the app and gives it only the photo you pick.
Your photos
- Taking a picture. The preview and the capture are processed on your iPhone. The finished photo is kept in the app's own folder, where the in-app roll shows it, and goes to your photo library only when you tap Save. Its EXIF data holds the camera name you used (for example "Mochi 32"), "Pocket Digicam" and the app version, and the date, time and time-zone offset of the shot. It holds no location.
- Importing a photo. You pick a photo in Apple's photo picker; the app reads that one photo, develops a copy through the chosen camera and keeps it as a new photo. The original is not changed.
- Sample photos. The app includes eight photos to try the cameras on. They are Wiki Loves Monuments winners from Wikimedia Commons, used under CC0 or Creative Commons licences; their authors and licences are listed in the app. They are part of the app download, so nothing is fetched to show them. A copy you develop from one carries the author and licence in its EXIF data, so the credit travels with the photo.
- Sharing. Share hands the photo you chose to the app you pick in the iOS share sheet. What that app does with it is covered by its own policy.
Your photos, thumbnails and file names are never uploaded to us or to anyone else by Pocket Digicam.
Settings on the iPhone
The app remembers your choices (the selected camera, flash, timer, date stamp and HD settings, and whether Pro is active) in its own storage on the iPhone. They are not sent anywhere.
Data we collect
None. The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking code, and it sends nothing to FightTech VN or to anyone else. We hold no user database and no account system, and we never see your photos or your settings. If you email us, we receive what you choose to write and use it only to answer you.
Purchases
Pocket Digicam Pro is sold through the App Store as a monthly or yearly subscription (app.filmode.digicam.pro.monthly, app.filmode.digicam.pro.annual) or a one-time purchase (app.filmode.digicam.pro). Apple processes the payment under the Apple Privacy Policy; your Apple ID, card details and billing address are never given to us or to the app. The app asks the App Store on your iPhone which purchases you own and unlocks Pro from that answer. App Store Connect gives us sales totals by country and date, without names or Apple IDs, which we use only for accounting and tax. Everything outside Pro is free.
What Apple handles
- Crash logs. If you turned on Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers, iOS may send Apple anonymous crash logs for this app, and Apple shows them to us. This is an iOS setting you control; the app itself sends nothing.
- Backups. Your in-app roll and settings may be included in your iCloud or computer backup. Apple keeps that backup under your Apple ID and its settings; we have no access to it.
Retention and deletion
Everything the app stores lives on your iPhone. Deleting a photo in the in-app roll removes it from the app. Deleting the app removes the roll and all settings; photos you saved to your library stay there until you delete them in Photos. Because we collect nothing, we have no data about you to delete. For crash logs that Apple shared with us, email us and we will delete our copies.
To cancel a subscription, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. For a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and because it collects no data, it collects none from children. If a child emails us, we will delete the message on request.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the photos you take and share, including the consent of the people in them and following local rules about photography.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the date above revised before the new version is released, and the App Store privacy label will change with it. Written on September 28, 2026 for version 1.0.0 of Pocket Digicam for iPhone.
